Someone..

“Some people are like ice creams, even if you don’t get your favourite flavour it is still a joy to eat. Some people, not so much in the degrees they hold, award they have won or with captivating credentials they received; but the way they walk into a room, smile without a reason, breathe for a purpose, leave a deep impact. Some people change the world by just making their presence felt. Some people make us better by just having known them. Some people no matter how far, how age strange, how famous, how rich; make us feel the pain of having lost a close friend in a total stranger. Some people do small things in a big way. Some people feel deeply all the time and, that is mistaken as their weakness. Some people in fact, secretly thrive knowing that to feel passionately-compassionately is their biggest strength. Some people are misunderstood way too many times. Some people keep forgiveness in their heart like change in their wallets. Some people carry compliments like prayers, always handy. Some people turns soft pillows, fluffy toys, quotation books, good music, long walks, hot showers, postcard letters; just when you need them. Some people are too good to be true. Some people care in awkward ways, unacceptable ways and unbelievable ways. Some people never let you feel lonely. Some people celebrate desire and their ability to overcome it. Some people rejoice at the sight of the sun and the glimpse of the moon. Some people think too much about bettering the world. Some people get hurt often but healed sooner. Some people like telescopes carry far sighted vision. Some people are beam balance that measures you always ‘worthy’. Some people don’t calculate your viewpoints, tally your ideas and rate your belief systems. Some people put principles ahead of pejoratives. Some people like flexible jeans, fit all sizes. Some people turn into lexicons and languages, easy to understand-hard to forget. Some people like electricity are available for multipurpose use. Some people are the living legend of holy hymns and sacred verses. Some people are old photographs, nothing about them changes. Some people are way too wise for this world, have talent the size of the universe, and live life fully by not getting tangled in making a living. Some people believe too much in giving. Some people are a victory of mankind. Let’s try to be those people for someone. Let’s be someone’s favourite thing to talk about. Someone’s favourite conversation!”

Title: The Climb

I can almost see it.
That dream I’m dreaming,
But there’s a voice inside my head saying,
“You’ll never reach it.”
Every step I’m takin’
Every move I make feels lost with no direction,
My faith is shakin’

But I, I gotta keep tryin’
Gotta keep my head held high

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side
It’s the climb

The struggles I’m facing
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes might knock me down,
But no, I’m not breaking
I may not know it,
But these are the moments
That I’m gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep goin’,

And I, I gotta be strong
Just keep pushing on,

‘Cause…

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side
It’s the climb

Yeah

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody’s gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side
It’s the climb

Yeah, yeah, yeah

Keep on movin’
Keep climbin’
Keep the faith, baby
It’s all about—it’s all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa, whoa, oh.

Qarar leke tere dar se bekarar chale
Ruke Ruke se kadam ruk ke baar baar chale
Ruke Ruke se kadam
Subah na aayi kai baar neend se jaage
Subah na aayi kai baar neend se jaage
Ki ek raat ki ye zindagi guzaar chale

Uthaye phir dekhe ehsaan dil ka seene par
Uthaye phir dekhe ehsaan dil ka seene par
Le tere kadamon mein kazr bhi utaar chale

Karar leke tere dar se bekarar chale

Listened to this song/ghazal for the first time in Indian Idol auditions. Hope concluding into detachment is what attracted me to find and listen to it fully. I feel lyrics always flourish in sad emotion than any other. So this is the new and interesting bit of  Hindi poetry I found this week about half-hearted delusions in life.

Will you still love me?

91uwMvq5V0L

‘Will you still love me?‘ by Ravinder Singh is the book I picked up to get into the reading habit once again. It’s on the first rack of the small library I found in this ‘library-extinct mode’ city.
This is a light read, not so heavy novel (content and size wise). Started typically as a love story between a Punjabi boy and a north-east girl, it shows the contrast in mindsets at various levels. I had read the earlier works of this author, “I too had a love story’,”Can love happen twice?“, they go in the similar line. But two points stood out for me in this book, one is the best portrayal of North-eastern states, specially Meghalaya and the streets of Patiala which fed the traveling soul inside me. And the Second point is of the parallel track on the Road safety issue (One of the many issues we are pertinently careless about).
Overall, It’s a good try to convey a social message through the rapid change in lead characters lives. Likewise, showing that an accident does not happen spontaneously, but stems out from a series of events until then.
Lines like, “Happiness is felt more deeply in the face of unhappiness.” and “Some goodbyes require us to express ourselves.” stayed with me.
So it’s fine for single-go reading, without putting much effort on our side.

See you next time with another peek into the time experience.

It’s okay!

It’ okay!

You will gather your pieces and get up again. Not to show anyone anything but to walk through your journey in contentment.

You will learn to be happy without cravings…for love, attention and even ice cream.

You will learn to accept everything as it is and everyone as they are.

You will learn to not deny the disappointment between your imagination in head and reality. You will not get stuck with attachments and expectations.

You will learn to be aware of your triggers which lead to being ungrateful, detached and distant.

You will learn to only give as much as you can even when you are meant to live on the borders of everyone’s lives.

You will learn to be your friend and become the real you. Nothing else.

It’s okay.. Trust that whatever you can feel, is the real you. Don’t deny yourself. You will not give up on yourself. You will learn to fill your world with every possibility of positivity and new experiences.

Maybe the path is blurred, the journey is slow, But you will get there!!

Forgive, detach, connect and smile !! 🙂
